The softness, flaxiness and stability of talc make it a desirable substance for many purposes. In paint, talc seves as an extender and is the white pigment & cold water paints.

In ceramics, ground talc is used for wall tile, granite, ceramic fritz, electrical porcelain & dinnerware. Only the finest grades (calcium and grit free) are used in toilet powder, cosmetic and as a filter in manufacturing of bond paper. Other paper industries used lower grade talc having whitened 80% to 90% as a filter.
